Soy Milk Makers FAQ

What is the difference between the SoyQuick Soy Milk Maker and cheaper models?

There are a number of differences between the SoyQuick Soymilk Maker and other brands...

1) We use unique serial numbers that are engraved into the bottom which include MODEL / MANUFACTURE DATE / UNIT NUMBER (1-1400 Very important for tracking quality issues. You would find that Bronson only uses the same number for all machines in one batch, which is stamped on the quality control label only.

2) Improved sealing of the circuit board (extends machine life and reduces warranty)

3) Improved moisture sealing of circuit board components including computer (Our newest changes in December 2005) that includes sealing the Start Motor Heater button so that long term corrosion cannot cause unexpected machine malfunctions and problems and we also changed the Serge thermal protector sensor. By changing this thermal protector which I had sent some to your office 2-3 weeks ago will reduce warrantys.

4) I'm not sure if Bronson has power safety switches on their machines as it is not mandatory for overseas from what I understand but since it is mandatory for the United States and Canada we have incorporated the changes in our 220V machines, which is added consumer protection.

5) Improved sealing of the shaft from external to internal (not sure if they now have this change as it was taken to the general manufacturing line.

6) We do not use stickers for warranty stickers and other, only screen printing to improve the look and long-term permanent placement of these machine information and warning stickers.

7) The SoyQuick manual has been recognized many times over to be if not the best available. We do our manual updates 1-2 times per year and now include English, French, Spanish, Chinese, German with Korean and Thai to be added shortly.

What is the Tofu Press made of?

Is the Tofu Press that comes with theSoyQuick Soymilk Maker made of food grade polymer or wood?

The Tofu Press is a food based polymer and does a good job for what it is supposed to do. Our tofu press is made from durable food grade plastic with rounded corners. Most people seem like this design as it greatly assists in forming the block of tofu and it's very easy to clean. All you need to do is just rinse it and let it dry. We've found that a wooden tofu press with hard to reach corners is much more difficult to clean and maintain as bacteria and bits of tofu can often be left behind.

Included with each Tofu Kit are 10 sachets of coagulant. Each sachet will make approximately 1 litre block of tofu.
