Very Berry Smoothie

  • 2 cups of mixed berries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 orange
  • 1 dollop of vanilla yoghurt
  • Ice cubes
  • Splash of coconut milk
  • Squeeze of honey to sweeten

The mixed berries in this recipe are a great source of fibre, a nutrient that is essential for healthy digestive functions. Studies have also found that blueberries and strawberries in particular are packed with powerful antioxidants that help fight disease, while raspberries contain a compound called ellagic acid with anti-cancer properties. Go Get 'Em Green Smoothie

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 kiwi
  • Splash of coconut water
  • 1 tbsp of chia seeds, flax seeds or spirulina - you choose!
