Very Berry Smoothie

  • 2 cups of mixed berries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 orange
  • 1 dollop of vanilla yoghurt
  • Ice cubes
  • Splash of coconut milk
  • Squeeze of honey to sweeten

The mixed berries in this recipe are a great source of fibre, a nutrient that is essential for healthy digestive functions. Studies have also found that blueberries and strawberries in particular are packed with powerful antioxidants that help fight disease, while raspberries contain a compound called ellagic acid with anti-cancer properties. Whether they are fresh, frozen or dried, mixed berries are super convenient as they are available and readily accessible almost all year round!

Go Get 'Em Green Smoothie

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 kiwi
  • Splash of coconut water
  • 1 tbsp of chia seeds, flax seeds or spirulina - you choose!

This signature green smoothie has all the right ingredients to give you the energy boost you need and keep you feeling fuller for longer. Bananas are a healthy carbohydrate which are low in calories and fibre, this means their natural sugars can be digested by the body easily to provide rapid bursts of energy. By combining bananas with a healthy fat like avocado, the energy-boosting properties are extended even further. Spinach is a rich source of iron which prevents fatigue, this is especially beneficial for pregnant women, those with anemia or people who don't eat much red meat.
