Compare Juicers: BioChef Axis vs BioChef Axis Compact

    Motor:

Both the BioChef Axis Compact Juicer and the BioChef Axis Cold Press Juicer have 150w motors and run at 80RPM, however the type of motor differs between the two models. The Axis Compact has a D.C. motor, which it is not as ‘heavy duty’ as the A.C. motor that is present in the Axis.

A D.C. motor has been strategically chosen for the Axis Compact juicer to maintain the smaller size, lighter weight, and lower price point. Consequently, the Axis Compact becomes the perfect masticating juicer for those starting out in the world of cold press juicing.

    Functionality:

A unique advantage of the BioChef Axis Cold Press Juicer is that it has the functionality to double up as

Which is the better Whole Slow Juicer?
3 Reasons to buy a Whole Slow Juicer

With this new generation of cold press juicers changing the way we view slow juicing, we've compared the industry leading models to find out exactly what sets these juicers apart. The most widely recognised in this juicer category is the Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer B6000. BioChef, the healthy appliance brand developed by Vitality 4 Life, introduced these developments in 2014 with the BioChef Atlas Whole Slow Juicer. Oscar, one of the very first cold press juicer brands, released it's own take on the vertical whole slow juicer model with the Oscar

    Price:

The most obvious difference between the four models is price. The BioChef Axis is significantly cheaper at just £179, offering great value and more affordability in comparison to the other juicers.

It is important to note, that to pay more for an Omega Juicer is simply to pay extra for a brand, not for any superior technical specifications or differences in quality. The Omega is rated at 150 watts (on manufactures website, however this does vary), does not come with a Pulp Adjustment Nozzle and parts are made from Ultem not Tritan.

  10. What is a Conventional/Centrifugal Juicer?

    What is a Conventional/Centrifugal Juicer?

Centrifugal juicers work by using a flat cutting blade on the bottom of a rapidly spinning strainer. The cut produce is forced against the juicing strainer through the use of centrifugal force. This force separates the juice from the pulp through the tiny holes in the juicing strainer.

While still hugely popular these juicers do have their downfalls. They are noisy, the high spinning speed creates a lot of heat that destroys vital nutrients and they clog often throughout the juicing process so continuous juicing is not possible. Probably the greatest fall back of the Centrifugal Juicer is the effort required to clean these machines. The strainers are huge and can be a real pain to clean, they can’t do wheatgrass or leafy green vegetables and as the pulp builds up in the strainers the efficiency falls rapidly. The process also involves drawing a lot of air into the machine, which oxygenates the fruit and vegetables and therefore produces a ‘dying’ juice.

This is probably why so many good intentions fall by the wayside as the effort starts to outweigh the rewards.

Vitality 4 Life has pioneered the new fleet of [storelink id="/kitchen-appliances/juicers/cold-press-juicers" keyword="Healthy Juicers into the UK"]. These new juicers are not centrifugal but “Masticating” and work by crushing/chewing the produce instead of cutting it. They have been proven to produce not only more juice but also a higher quality of juice with more of the vital nutrients and enzymes intact. We call this “Living Juice” and this is one of the main reasons so many health nuts and raw foodists have started raving about them.

So what juicers does Vitality 4 Life recommend?

In our experience any juicer is better than none and definitely better than pre-packaged juice, but if you want a juicer that is easy to clean and gives you more juice for your money then choose a “Masticating” or “Cold

  11. Juicer FAQs

Vitality 4 Life have put together some of your frequently asked questions about your juicer and juicing.

What is the difference between eating fruit and vegetables and juicing?

It takes on average 30 minutes to digest fruits and vegetables whereas juicing gives you an immediate burst of essential energy. Juicing takes the hard work out of digesting giving your body a rest, the juicer squeezes the juice out by using a pestle and mortar approach. The act of juicing helps to release the nutrition so we can more easily get the nutrients quickly. We do advise that you focus on juicing your vegetables and eating your fruit as they are easy to digest and easy to eat, the nutrients are released fairly quickly also the whole fruits help to cleanse your body and by juicing we lose the natural cleansing ability of the fruit, this will benefit our colon and kidneys.

    Why cold press Juicers?

These machines operate by extracting juice by first crushing and then pressing fruit and vegetables for the highest juice yield. The slow rotation of the ultem auger means that the nutrients and enzymes are not disrupted or damaged during this process as no heat is introduced which eliminates oxidation and minimises foaming and separation of your juice. Meaning the precious enzymes are preserved to their closest natural form. Cold press juicers have the ability to juice not only fruits and vegetables but are superb at leafy greens, grasses, sprouts and herbs. The enzymes in the juice are kept alive so you have the ability to juice a large batch and store this for up to 72 hours with some of our juicers. Our cold press juicers also offer the ability to food process as well. Such as making nut butters and milks, frozen desserts, pastas, bread sticks and green juices.

I want a juicer that is easy to clean?

All our juicers are very quick and easy to clean no need for a dish washer these parts are incredibly easy to clean, all you need to do is
