The AQ-5200 uses two distinct stages of selective filtration, which involves the process of sub-micron filtration, micron filtration, adsorption and ion exchange, to reduce 68 chemicals, heavy particulates and dangerous heavy metals while preserving beneficial minerals our bodies need for optimal hydration.

Independently developed and tested, Aquasana’s NSF Certified Claryum™ filtration technology uses activated carbon, catalytic carbon, ion-exchange and sub-micron filtration to purify the water you drink. This high performing Claryum™ technology specifically targets and successfully removes over 97% of contaminants.

- Activated Carbon reduced pharmaceuticals like estrone and ibuprofen, alongside organic chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, VOCs and MTBE.
- The Ion-Exchange process filters out heavy metals like lead and mercury, replacing them with the mineral Potassium. The potassium ions stabilise the pH of the water to between 7.25 & 8.5 giving the water it’s natural spring water taste.

Changing the filter cartridges can be done with total ease. Specifically engineered so that there is no need to disconnect any of the water hoses or lines, the filter housing simply twists off so that the new cartridge can be conveniently fitted.

The Aquasana Under Counter system is designed to prevent our exposure to dangerous contaminants, and also minimise the environmental impact of the replacement cartridges.

This filter system limits disposable plastic parts and offers you a safe way to recycle your used filters, reducing the level of plastic waste.

You can easily recycle the drinking filters by removing the ends and recycling the numbered plastic parts.

They are composed of 95% biodegradable carbon which can be used either for composting or simply deposited as carbon acts as a positive component to landfill.
